Operation "Forager"

Deep in the bowels of the earth a hidden project only known as "Operation Forager" was secretly operating on a chemical weapon extracted from an underground moss called Foregan's Folly, named after the scientist that found the first tracks of this strange plant.

This moss is covered in a slimey substance which is completely harmless when in his liquid state, in fact it needs the substance to survive in this barren and cold environment, this substance actually creates a sort of oxygen substitute.

When heated above 15°c though the substance vaporates into an extremely lethal gas that makes almost everything it touches soft as butter and break at an instant. when this happens the material becomes extremely fertile and moss will grow on it shortly after, make the material solid once again, atleast that's the effect of the raw natural version.

Project forager was an operation that needed to extract this gas and turn it into something more useful, seeing as almost destroying everything wouldn't make a lot of profit in the war business. Oh and did they succeed.. The prototype refined gas called Troglodyte is a horror would it ever reach the surface, it is made that it only burns through warm blooded biological beings almost literally melting it, would you survive you'll soon notice that , apart from your horribly scarred body, you'll be in pain forever when you feel the roots of newly formed moss burrow through your bones.

After the prototype was created nothing was heard of project Forager, the base now is an empty abandoned shell full of tiny heaps of moss in its interiors and broken vials some say an accident happened, some say it was foul play.

But what is certain, is that there are a few vials of Troglodyte missing and would they be released on the surface the world as we know it will never be the same.

got two main designs for the base at the moment

one is a mobile base with cooling units at its bottom to prevent the gas from erupting (1st is de "packed" version the other one the unpacked)

the other is a base which is build upon support beacons and can only be reached by an elevator

i think i'll go for the latter one as it's probably less comic book like and not sure if my teachers'd like me drawing a base on wheels as they'd see it as a pure vehicle but still , what would you prefer? :)
